As you can see, the site has updated. This has involved a complete rewrite of the code, so there may be one or two problems to iron out at first. You should still be able to login with your old details unless you signed up in the past few days, and one or two posts may be missing (I'll try to recover these as soon as possible). If you come across any bugs, please reply to this post.
If you would like to contribute images to the gallery, for the time being you will need to e-mail them to me whilst I set up permissions for uploading and organising photos.

A couple more updates today (it's been a while)
On the site, I've created the "About Us" section which features a little info and links to the new contact form.
In the forum, as per Dave's request, there is now an option in your profile to add the dates you served on any of the three HMS Sheffield ships (e.g. "1981 - 1982"). You can set this when you register, and if you were already registered then you can change this by navigating to the User Control Panel > choosing Profile from the Options box > down at the bottom of the page you'll see the space to enter your Dates of Service.

The homepage and Links pages of the site have been updated.

The homepage now includes a field to login to the forum, and gives a number of options when logged in, and below that a list of the latest Site News topics.
The links page has been reorganised, and has had a number of new links added to it (primarily to the websites of other ships). If you know of any other sites that you feel deserve a mention on that page, please let me know.

My apologies for the recent downtime. I had moved the site to a new server, and everything was working on my end, but for some reason the site would not allow anyone else to access it for large parts of the day. I have moved the site back to the old server, and so we shouldn't experience any major issues.

Apologies to Internet Explorer users who were affected by the display issue the site was experiencing.
This has now been resolved (hopefully). If anyone else has any problems with the site, or you don't think it is displaying as intended, then please drop me an e-mail (preferably with a screenshot of the problem, and your Operating System and Web Browser included).

First of all, let me welcome you to the new HMS-Sheffield.org.uk. Along with a new layout, we now have a forum and a brand new image gallery. If you have any other suggestions for additions to the site, then please either [url=http://www.hms-sheffield.org.uk/contact-us]e-mail them to me[/url], or post your suggestion in the forum.
If you have any images that you would like to add to your own album in the gallery, please e-mail them to me, along with a description you would like to appear underneath, and a name for the album.
